To buy a VPS with Bitcoin at OffshoreKVM, top up your balance with at least $25 in on-chain BTC. Then pick a plan, a location, a Linux system and your SSH key. Once the payment is checked on the blockchain, a person creates your VPS. Plans start at $3.08 for 30 days. Lightning is not accepted. No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto.

How do I buy a VPS with Bitcoin, step by step?

Seven steps, from a fresh account to an SSH login on your new server.

  1. Create an account

Create an account in the OffshoreKVM client area and store the account number it gives you. Your account number is how you sign in, so store it carefully. With an optional email on file you can recover it; with no email, a lost number is gone for good.

  2. Make an SSH key

On your computer, run ssh-keygen -t ed25519. The private key stays there; you paste only the public key, the .pub file, at checkout.

  3. Choose a plan, a location and a system

Pick a plan on how much an offshore VPS costs at OffshoreKVM. Choose Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Zurich or Bucharest, then one of Debian 12, Debian 13, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 9, Rocky Linux 9.

  4. Top up in BTC

Choose BTC on the payment page. The top-up is set to the plan price, or to the $25 minimum for a cheaper plan. The page shows the address and the exact BTC amount, locked for a set time.

  5. Send the exact amount, then confirm

Send exactly the amount shown, down to the last decimals, on-chain to the address shown. Then click "I've sent the payment". The exact amount is how your payment is found and linked to your account.

  6. Wait for the payment check

Your balance is credited once the payment is checked on the blockchain, after the network confirms it. A higher network fee gets the first confirmation sooner.

  7. Log in to your VPS

A person creates your VPS after your payment is confirmed, so it is not instant; your dashboard shows the status, then the IP address once the VPS is running. Then connect with ssh root@YOUR_IP from the computer that holds your private key.

How long does a Bitcoin payment take to confirm?

The same five steps apply to every coin. The table gives the typical confirmation time of each network.

  1. Top up $25 or more

Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.

  2. Send it to the address shown, on the exact network

The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.

  3. Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”

Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.

  4. Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain

Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:

    CryptoNetworkConfirmationsUsual time
    BTCBitcoin2≈ 20 min
    USDTTron (TRC-20)20≈ 1 min
    USDTEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    USDCEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    ETHEthereum12≈ 5 min
    SOLSolana1≈ 1 min
    LTCLitecoin6≈ 15 min
  5. Deploy your VPS

Pick a plan, a location, a system and your SSH key, and the top-up is set to the plan price, or to the minimum for a cheaper plan. Once the payment is confirmed, a person creates your VPS and its IP address appears in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.

Which wallet can I pay from?

Any wallet that sends on-chain BTC works, including an exchange withdrawal. A wallet you control is simpler: you set the fee and the exact amount yourself.

  • Your own wallet: paste the address, type the exact amount, choose the fee and send.
  • An exchange account: check whether it takes its withdrawal fee from the amount. If it does, the payment arrives short of the exact amount; add the fee or send from your own wallet.
  • A Lightning wallet: not usable here; send on-chain instead.

At OffshoreKVM, a Bitcoin top-up is found by its exact amount, so the amount that arrives must match the payment page to the last decimal. The network fee comes on top. Keep the transaction ID (TXID) from your wallet history; adding it is optional.

How much does a VPS cost in Bitcoin?

Plans are priced in US dollars, and the payment page converts the price to BTC. OffshoreKVM charges KVM 1 $3.08, KVM 2 $4.92, KVM 4 $8.25, KVM 8 $13.50, KVM 16 $20.62 per 30 days.

OffshoreKVM's KVM 1 costs $3.08 for 30 days, 25% below the cheapest comparable no-KYC crypto plan found on 29 October 2026. That plan was Kyun at $4.12.

Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

What happens after I pay?

Your VPS runs for 30 days, then renews from your balance. A VPS is paid for 30 days at a time from your prepaid crypto balance. With auto-renew on, it renews from the balance; if the balance does not cover the next 30 days, the VPS is suspended at the end of the period, its disk is kept for 7 days, then deleted.

Reboot, reinstall and delete are requested from your dashboard and carried out by the team; a reinstall erases the disk. No automatic backups are included: keep your own copies of anything that matters. Popular next steps are how to set up WireGuard on a VPS and whether you can run a Bitcoin or Lightning node on a VPS.

Is paying for a VPS with Bitcoin private?

Partly. OffshoreKVM asks for no name and keeps no logs, but every Bitcoin payment stays public on the blockchain. Anyone who knows an address can follow its payments. The exchange that sold you the coins knows who you are.

Incoming payments are checked against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses; a payment from a listed address is not credited. Nothing else about the sending address is checked: no ID and no proof of funds.
